TCM Intro Chapter- Akello
It's time to meet Akello! Freshly reborn as a demon, Akello has been navigating life in the Tri City area as best as he can. But his new powers are dangerous and there's plenty of shadowy forces aiming to get him in line to their own ends. Akello's amiable and charismatic but can be too willing to shoulder everything himself, sometimes even at the expense of others.
This chapter is designed to test out Akello's appeal as a character before development on the main game and indepth story routes begins.

I hope you can fix this, I'm giving info I hope can help you but if you need something different please let me know❗
I got an "impressive" error, and this phone has never had problems with RenPy before. Tried different options and such, but still got the same results every time, if looking a little different.
Running Moto X⁴ (X4) model XT1900-7 on last update, Android 9.
When opening Menu I get this:

Hope you can fix that! A game without a working menu is kind of impossible to play. As even saving/ loading won't work
Success!
Hey there, thanks for the error report! I spent some time updating the apk this morning so if you uninstall & download the apk again, it ought to work for you now. Thanks for reaching out!
INDEED, YOU FIXED IT!
Holy frick, hadn't expected you to get back at this within even two weeks, let alone the same day!!!
Was is that easy? Did the multiple reports make a big difference?I'm a scientist....I hope that says enough as you've got Akello's route, which is very close to how I am actually XD, (if younger & without the family though.) so I'm very curious how this problem was there; was it my phone? How you solved it, and what helped.
Im not a programmer though, so layman's terms instead of RenPy's terms would be appreciated (is it related to Python btw? As it has the Py...)
I REALLY very much like how you've written him, Akello, and after just finishing Mori's route I'm really curious how the heck I can get the monster scene, as I was right on the money with Mory the first time playing, though his route seemed to have about half the choices–and runtime–for me than Akello's.
That might be because of the different endings I got, but then I'd expect the monster route to be the one with the most choices and being the longest!...*is confused and could use a clue*
:D
I had some trouble replicating the issue, but having the reports definitely helped me narrow down where the problem could be. Long story short, there are build differences between the web, mobile, and download versions of the game and some code that was meant for the download version didn't get deleted when I compiled the mobile version. When I finally managed to crash the main menu by backing out mid game, I was able to pinpoint exactly what the issue was, deleted the conflicting code, and recompile a new build! So in all, it wasn't tremendously complicated (thank god) but it was definitely a good catch on your part so thank you again for your eagle eye and supporting documentation! Also, you're correct! Ren'py uses Python structure to work which is great for me as I'm actually a novice programmer myself lol!
The monster endings are loosely based on leaning into choices that encourage the Love Interest to be more comfortable with their strengths, including their new monster forms. For instance, if you try to "run distraction" instead of getting between Marcel and the other demon at the at the climax, that adds a point towards getting the Monster ending because you made a choice that prioritized keeping Marcel from making an impulsive decision without rashly putting yourself between them. Basically, you're using your intellect, and that makes Akello more comfortable enough to let his monster form hang out so to speak!
Well... I'm reading this after I just reported a bug on Mori's route (btw I wish you much luck with figuring that one out!) and you're actually making me blush, darn you 🤣. I ran into this one of accident, one CAN'T miss it, not really.
So I think I'm undeserving of the eagle eye praise on THIS Error, however the one in Mori I DID only get by checking things out and fiddling with it a LOT.
Also, I've been trying time and time again to get a different route with both Mori and Akello and it's not happening. Not even when I choose (pretty much?) ALL THE CONTRADICTORY choices @Mori, since his route is the most simple, obvious and straightforward of the two, and still get the Monster scene.
I wonder by now if I'm the only one who's run into this of if it might actually be an error...
(Btw, I'm commenting the route part of this comment on both Akello's & Mori's route pages, the one on Mori's is actually the copy as the topic of routes came up in my Error report on Akello's page. This is info for people who haven't seen all and are curious.)
Another great job guys! I wasn't expecting to have my knees turn jelly for the man. He's such a noble soul and his passion for research is truly endearing <33
Thank you so much! We really do stan a suave king up in here!
Akello called me baby and I was ready to lay down my life for him. I am embarrassingly smitten with him.
He is such a dreamboat honestly i kinda kick my feet just writing him
